Originally constructed by the Lincoln County Heritage Trust in 1977, the Anderson-Freeman Museum and Visitor's Center is now owned and operated by the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs, and is the primary visitor center for the larger Lincoln Historic Site. Inside, the Voices of Lincoln exhibit explores the history of Lincoln from prehistoric times until the end of the Lincoln County War. Visitors can also view the 20-minute film, Lincoln County: Land of Beauty, Land of Conflict, featuring historians Paul Hutton and Frederick Nolan.
